John Lawrence
Frank Thomas
A graduate of Bowdoin and Dartmouth colleges, for many years I was an independent management consultant and entrepreneur working with Dutch international shipbuilding and offshore oil/gas contracting firms. In past years up to recent retirement at 77, I have been a trainer for firms such as ING, DSM, Siemens, the Dutch Ministries of Foreign and Economic Affairs and Justice in the Hague and also a teacher/lecturer at The Hague University and NTI University in Leiden. Subjects covered have included finance, commercial law, legal writing, report writing, presentations, etc. All my time now is devoted to research for writings on grave national and global issues.
I’m an independent-minded Mainer, a liberal-conservative. Over time, I have come to loath the mind numbing indoctrination inherent in the “ideological-pure and money talks” political culture poisoning and grid-locking our national dialogue on extremely serious structural societal problems. Such times of volatile change call for a fusion of the ‘brightest and best’ ideas/reforms that ensure a prudent, fair balancing of legitimate public interests, concern for the common folk’s progress in concert with a thriving market-innovative capitalism.
Dr. Carol Carnes
Carol is a New Thought teacher, an ordained minister of International Centers for Spiritual Living, a world traveller who has been in the company of HH the Dalai Lama and other world leaders in small group dialogues. She is a member of the Association for Global New Thought and an inductee into the Martin Luther King International chapel Board of Preachers at Morehouse College. Dr. Carol is actively retired and living in Southern California. She is available for speaking engagements, workshops and retreats.
Carol Carnes came into this world as the US joined the war in Europe. She remembers black outs and rationing and whispers about the people down the street who were Jewish. Carol attended an integrated high school and was shocked at the racism and fear of difference. She lived in Hawaii as a young adult. It was there that she felt the joy of diversity and the commonality among all people. The melting pot of cultures and ethnicities was a rich blending that she found nourishing. It was these and other experiences of personal challenges that led her to question the religious and cultural beliefs that kept humanity in emotional chains and self imposed struggle and strife. She longed for something; a philosophy, a way of thinking about the universe that made sense and brought possibility into reality.
In Hawaii she learned an ancient meditation technique that opened her mind and began the emotional healing she needed to find her own potential. Shortly after learning to meditate she was led to a New Thought spiritual center where she found the intellectual basis for what her intuition had been sensing as true and reliable.
