In these times of rampaging riot and death threats by the conservative right radicals, it is understandably quite inopportune to consider a serious question that comes to mind – but question that at least should be raised now.
The simple question is: Is it possible – given Trump’s contribution to the horrendous riot, deaths and destruction emanating from the insurrection attack on our nation’s Capital – to FREEZE the massive donations amounting to $250 million received by Trump recently and rising on every day now! It’s possible he cleverly conned or misled donors for these monies.
Experts say Trump can use the millions donated for personal costs. But, he has created multi-millions of costs for the U.S. government, i.e. taxpayers, in his dominant role of inciting the mad mob storming of thousands of Republicans into the D.C. Capital building – the symbolic citadel of our democracy.
Shouldn’t the donated $millions go against the giganticmillions of U.S. government (taxpayer) costs stemming from his actions? I have not heard yet any raising of this idea on CNN or other media. This is because all attention is rightly being directed to holding Trump accountable through impeachment. Greatly speeding up vaccinations, substantially increasing the aid to people and small enterprises, and sharply increasing jobs. I think this can be done while working on the impeachment process, or postponing it, or taking some other strong joint action against Trump.
The urgent need is to prevent this mentally deranged man from ever running again for the presidential office and from his setting a precedent he did no criminal or constitutional wrong … which future insurrectionists can exploit.
