Dear friends,
In modern New Thought spirituality, we find a teaching that sees through the veil of illusion to the Power that truly is behind all manifestation. That power is Love/Intelligence. It is a perfect relationship that is necessary for the invisible to come into the seen realm of time/space. Love, in this sense, is oneness with, that is the feeling of the idea being alive and ready to move into visibility. Intelligence knows how to bring it through a vehicle, such as you or me.
What comes through us must, by law, be something we have been involved with in our own consciousness. We cannot experience anything that is not real to us. That is why we focus on wholeness, not disease; harmony rather than chaos; happiness over loss; peace within. We attempt to keep our mind stayed on what is desirable, what brings more good into the world, what is beautiful. This is not the same thing as burying our head in the sand. We know that the world is engaged in a battle for various versions of Truth, most of which have caused the problems humanity faces.
We help where we can, alleviate suffering when possible, vote and stay engaged in the world, but we do not become mired in it. It is what is meant by “be in the world but not of it.” It is a daily practice, one that will challenge us. Our most important work is to know that it is never too late; we are always in the flow of the creative process; things can change in an evolutionary leap; Life is for us and never against us. Our part is to think above the fray, see through the lack, call forth our own better selves and expect the best from each other.
