How many times have we had to ‘make room’ for a new acquisition? Perhaps it was a nice easy chair or a large TV or a painting we found on a trip. Sometimes, making room means letting go of what has been there for a long time. We store it or give it to a friend or the local thrift shop. But the point is made; we cannot add the new if there is no room for it.
Here is a good end of the year question. What is taking up so much space in our mind that the new desire cannot find a place to grow? If our mind is so filled with the fear of lack, will prosperity have a chance to become our prevalent mental atmosphere? How do we ‘make room’ anyway? Like any goal, the desire for a prosperity consciousness is attainable with daily steps in that direction. We begin to recite affirmative statements about supply. We read books about how our mind creates our experience. We circulate what we do have happily. We might write out a personal statement of our intentions around giving.
However we approach it, focus is the answer. We fill our mind with only thoughts of supply, wealth, circulation, giving and receiving, ease and flow. The old ideas of lack are pushed out, there is longer any room for them. The last days of any year are opportune times to be honest with ourselves around what we have been living with in the realm of perception. There is no judgement, only an opportunity to make room for whatever seems to have been missing. Love, supply, friendships, creativity, joy, peace, it matters not. Everything comes through us via the avenue of our consciousness. That is where we live and what is contained there can be replaced with a willingness to do the work of clearing.
