We cannot forget that religion is mostly metaphor. There is deep meaning in it but we cannot get to the real juice if we take the stories at face value. First of all, they are about us, not some special person who was better than most. No, the tales of miracles and redemption are teaching lessons regarding being human. We are all capable of great change. Just look at those who have overcome addictions or terrible childhoods to become great at something and revered by others. We are blessed with super-powers!
Have you ever changed your mind about something and seen real shifts in your experience? Of course you have. Think about what that indicates! The power of mind is stunning but real change also involves the feeling nature. There has to be more than a desire or a good idea. Change requires deep conviction, belief and a kind of awareness that our fulfillment is at hand, coming through us, by means of us. There is no special dispensation required, only intention and attention and a willingness to be changed ourselves.
This season in the Christian world is the celebration of birth. It is about how Light comes down into form but also how it arises up from the earth, via the Mother. As above so below. The Power to create life is in us and that includes our health, wealth, love, joy, peace and creativity. It is all there awaiting the gestation of awareness to be complete in us. Now is the time to release the old and give some deep thought to the new. What shall we birth in our personal world?
