Love is still the best thing in life no matter what the world is doing. It is alive and well in feast or famine, in good times and in trying times. People still find others to love and to hold close. Sometimes it is not a person but a memory or a beautiful bit of nature. But love will not leave us, ever. It is one of the gifts of the Spirit that help us to rise above mere existence into truly being alive.
The sad idea that we have to be in some kind of committed one to one relationship to know love is so wrong. Love comes through our dedication to great ideas, or through music, art and words of inspiration. Love is the motivation behind everything that begins with a desire to make things better; the situation, the relationship, the world. Love is the grand and glorious reason we are here.
To feel that we have no love is to deny our birthright. It is an egoistic point of view. It ignores our true nature. People who feel left out of love have a mistaken self-identity. We can only feel love when we express it to ourselves, first. “I love being me” is an affirmation of our origins; a statement of gratitude for the Source of our aliveness, our consciousness, our very being. It is a true psalm of praise, not for our local self, but for the Spiritual Love that has become us.
Say it out loud this morning."I love being me!" Look in the mirror and tell it! Repeat it like a mantra in the car, while you work. You might be very surprised at how much love is alive in you and available to be extended into your world.
Stay tuned in,
