Emerson wrote “it is always pleasant to be generous though very vexatious to pay debts.” That is true for most people. We love giving to our friends and family but loathe the tax bill or the credit card debt. But why? It is a perception of being depleted. But what if we see it all as the Law of Circulation in action? We have received goods and services and now it is time to give back and to complete the circle. If we refuse to pay our debts or have become close-fisted with our money, we have entered in to a state of stasis, and that is always fatal to wealth.
Everything that promotes good health is in motion. That includes our money - life as well as our physical body. We need to be a part of the dance of creation if we want to be the recipient of lavish gifts. In preparation for a move, I have been sorting and packing. It is fun to give things to others that I choose to release, and not because they are old or damaged. They can be let go simply by realizing my friend would look better in this blouse than I do; another will put this to good use that I have not. It is not so much generosity as it is an awareness of being in partnership with the energy of giving and receiving.
The unwritten law is “do not keep what is sitting motionless in your midst.” I made that up but it seems to apply to me. What is in your life that needs a good kick start? Is it perhaps a sense of being without? The antidote to that is easy. Give something to someone for no reason other than they might like it. Keep things moving. Life is rather like a boomerang. What we give out tends to circle back to us in a new form. It is constant and necessary to maintain a life in balance with Nature and with our own soul, which has incarnated to give the gifts of the Spirit, one of which is prosperity and plenty.
Stay tuned in,
