Love is still the answer to every question facing humankind. Of course, it is Love in the spiritual, universal sense. Love as compassion and caring for all Life. It is the Love that prompts us to help a stranger; to give to those in need. It is the Love of the earth and our willingness to me more aware of our footprint; it is the Love of human expression in all its positive forms, as music, art, literature and invention. It is the Love of Nature and our gratitude for her.
Love, itself, asks only one question; “Can you use me?” Pretend today that Love is your silent partner. In every situation that you feel uncomfortable, threatened or just off balance, ie: in a tense meeting, disciplining your kids, remembering the past, seeing the news, hearing a diagnosis, observing a homeless person on the street, ( to name but a few) , answer the question Love is asking. “Can you use me here? What could we do together?”
Remember, Love is not “liking” or is it necessarily any kind of agreement. It is bringing the whole self into the moment. It is acknowledging the presence of the real you, the one who is overjoyed to be alive, the one who transcends the situation, whatever it may be. Those we revere and even worship were doing this all the time. We think of them as Saints and that is the problem, too. It is a denial of our own capacity for, not only doing the right thing, but being the right person at the right time to spread the only power that makes all things new. Love is the answer. Can we hear the question?
Stay tuned in,
